Join the Wild Woman Community for an unforgettable hike from Aspen to Crested Butte (or Crested Butte to Aspen). Please Read the whole description, as this event differs from typical Trail Magic Hikes.

Hey Wild Woman! Lot's of you have expressed interest in the trail between Aspen and Crested Butte. For those of you unfamiliar, it's an approximately 11 mile, point to point trek between the towns or Aspen and Crested Butte. It's not a technical trail, but is at higher elevation, and is partially above treeline, so a moderate level of fitness is recommended to travel safely on this trail.

The Plan:

We'll split into two groups of 7 (4 cars total). One party will begin in Crested Butte, the other in Aspen, and we'll trade cars to drive home. I have booked two houses, one in Snowmass (outside of Aspen) and one in Crested Butte. 

Party 1 (Crested Butte to Aspen) will depart from Denver on Wednesday, 9/20 and drive to CB. Stay the night at the house in CB, then drive to the trailhead and begin the hike Thursday morning. When you finish the hike, drive party 2's cars to the Snowmass house. Spend the night and drive back to Denver Friday morning.

Party 2 (Aspen to Crested Butte) will depart from Denver on Wednesday, 9/20 and drive to Aspen. Stay the night at the house in Snowmass, then drive to the trailhead and begin the hike Thursday morning. When you finish the hike, dirve party 2's cars to the Crested Butte house. Spend the night and drive back to Denver Friday morning.

Sleeping Arrangements:

-Each house sleeps 7 people. The king and queen sized beds will be shared.

Cancellation Policy: Each house allows free cancellation until 8/20. This means that:

1) If we don't have enough people signed up to fill the houses, we'll cancel the event. 

2) After 8/20, your reservation is non-refundable.

What's included:

-Parking Permits for each car parking at the Aspen Trailhead

-Accommodations for 2 nights (one night in CB, one night in Snowmass)

What's not included:

-Food

-Gas (each car will split the cost of gas) start with a full tank, end with a full tank

Once you RSVP, you'll be able to join a private group for all participants so we can organize ride shares and split up into the two hiking groups. I'll share the specific housing info with the group (both houses have hot tubs!)
